Menu Choice Details
Add or Edit Note Open Add or Edit Note box for creating notes against files
Delete Note Row Delete the currently selected note row in the File List Pane
Add Row Color Displays a color grid for selecting the color to be applied to the currently selected row
Remove Row Color Remove the color from the currently selected row 
Add to Notes Collection Add the selected file or files to a Collection
  • A list of current Collections will be displayed. Files can either be added to existing Collection or to a new Collection (see Adding Files to a Collection)
Copy Bookmark To File Copy a bookmark to a different file
  • Copying a bookmark will copy the current bookmark details and associate them with a different file
Move Bookmark To File Move a bookmark to a different file
  • Moving a bookmark will move the association of that bookmark from the original file to the new file
Merge Annotations Combines the Annotation Fields of the selected bookmarks into a single Bookmark
  • Selecting this option will prompt for the new bookmark name which will be used to store all the combined annotations
Import and Export Notes Import Notes from the selected file

Export the Notes from the current folder to a Catalog or text file in CSV or XML format

  • The created file will contain all the files from the current folder along with all visible columns displayed in the File List Pane
Backup Notes Backup all notes associated with the current installation of FNO (including network drives) to a ZIP file for archive storage
Print Notes

Print the current displayed Notes in the File List Pane. See Printing Notes. A full range of Print Settings available

Flood Fill Notes Flood Fill the current File List Pane Folder with Note keywords
Create CD-ROM Catalog Create CD ROM Catalog - See Creating a CD ROM Catalog
New Standard Notes Collection New Standard Notes Collection - Creates a Collections Catalog
New Project Notes Collection Create a Project Catalog
Create a Search Collection Scans all drives for Notes for use when searching for Notes
