Overview of Layouts and Views

Layouts and Views are two terms describing the capability of FNO³ to customize elements of the presentation of the Main FNO³ User Interface.

Layouts Definition

A Layout relates to the following elements of the FNO³ interface

Toolbar positions
Visible panes
Pane sizes

A Layout Template will include the currently used Column Template to define the column listing in the File List Pane.

Note

If a Column Template is not currently active then the saved Layout Template will not store any Column information and will not alter the current Columns view when that particular Layout Template is loaded

Views and Column Templates

A View relates to the Column settings in the File List Pane. Saving Column Templates will store the following elements of the File List Pane

Column Titles
Visible Columns
Column sizes
