This walkthrough shows how easy it is to create a Collection within FNO3.
On the PC there are over 1100 MP3 files logically grouped into subfolders within a top folder called "songs". The objective is to create a Collection of these MP3 files as part of a a hierarchical set of folders for Music Collections. As part of the process Notes will be added to files, file filtering will be used with drag and drop to play the MP3 Collection files using Window Media Player.
1. Right click within the Collection Tree and select New Folder. Give the folder a name.

2. Right click within the new folder and select New Standard Notes Collection, and enter the name of the collection.

3. Drag the folders containing the MP3 files or the files themselves into the Collection

4. Left click on the new Collection to view the Collection contents

5. Right Click on the Column Title Bar and Select Path to display the Path column (also see Customizing Columns). This will indicate the sub-folders included in the Collection.
6. Right click on files in the Collection and select Add or Edit Note to add notes to the Collection files.

7. Select bach & mp3 in the Filter window

8. Drag and Drop the filtered files directly into Window Media Player to create a Play-list.
