Preparing for Installing FNO³

• If upgrading from FNO 2.7 please read the Upgrading from FNO 2.7 section 

• If re-installing FNO³ on a clean build with a backup FNO³ follow the procedure below and then please read Restoring FNO³

First Time Installation Procedure

File Notes Organizer installation program takes you through the installation with step by step instructions. 

1. Run the installation file fn3setup.exe

2. You will be prompted with the default install location. Select the Change button to provide a new install destination if required.

Note: All FNO³ catalog files are stored in the My Documents\filenotes folder see Backing Up FNO³}

3. Part of the installation process will allow you to choose whether to install PaperPort .MAX file support. If you do not wish to install .MAX file support at this time you can install this later (see Program Maintenance).

4.  After completion of the installation your system will need restarting before being able to use FNO³
