Notes written from a previous version of File Notes Organizer can be imported into FNO³

Importing Local Catalogues

Local Notes catalogs exist within the folders where the files with Notes reside.

When you a view a folder using FNO³ for the first time if a Version 2.7 local catalog exists it will be detected and imported automatically. 

Note

• Local catalogues are only imported once. Any further changes to an FNO2.7 local catalog will not be imported by FNO³.

Importing Central Notes Catalogs

The following procedure can be used to import all notes that have been generated by FNO2.7

1: Browse to the c:\atlast\notes folder (or the FNO2.7 program location folder)

2. Locate the central catalogs used by FNO2.7. Each drive's central catalogue is of the format X_fnotes.fno (where X refers to the drive letter)

3. Double click on each central catalogue for the contents of that catalogue to be imported into FNO³.
